We stayed at Hotel Corque on our very first visit to Solvang and it was such a pleasant experience! The hotel is tastefully decorated and conveniently located to everything we needed access to (though most places right in town generally are).
We loved our stay so much, I decided to dedicate a whole post to our experience! If you’re visiting Solvang, Hotel Corque is definitely an excellent choice.

Location of Hotel Corque
Hotel Corque is located on Alisal Road, just a few doors down from the Solvang Windmill and a TON of shopping and restaurants. Most things in Solvang are within walking distance to the hotel, so you don’t have to worry about driving to many places during your stay here – which also means you can wine taste at some of the local cellars in town without having to find a DD!
Checking In
Checking in was a breeze – they even had a room ready for us two hours before check in. Pro tip: it never hurts to ask if your hotel has a room ready for you early! More times than not, you’ll find success. We were just passing by the hotel on our little self-guided walking tour of Solvang and popped in to check with them, but you can also call ahead.
Just look at this place! It is tastefully updated and modern. There’s also complimentary coffee, water, and tea on the second floor for guests to have at their leisure.
Let’s Talk About the Room
Do you ever walk into a hotel room and just breathe a huge sigh of relief? That’s how we felt when first walking in. You get that feeling that you know you’re going to be comfortable during your entire stay. We stayed in one of their studio rooms with a king bed, but they also have rooms available with balconies and views of the Santa Ynez Mountains.
The Bed
The bed was SO comfortable. We got two pretty good nights of sleep here. The hallway was quiet and our room was on the second floor, so it was nice and peaceful.
The Bathrooms
The bathrooms were nice and modern, very clean, and we had TWO sinks! Whenever we travel, single sinks tend to get a little cluttered with stuff from two people, so I really appreciated having the separate space.
The shower was great, and the best part is that the shower head was high enough for Micah (that is a legit problem we have at a lot of places).
Comfortable Robes
I love having hotel robes! There are two complimentary robes for you to wear around in your hotel room (not to take home – darn!). At least it’s nice to be able to lounge around the room in comfort.
Other Stand-Out Amenities
Wine glasses in your room – what else would you expect being in wine country? We put those to good use!
Swimming pool & hot tub – We didn’t get to test these out, but they have a really beautiful pool area. If we had stayed here longer, we certainly would have taken advantage of them.

Dining at Corque
Hotel Corque has an onsite restaurant called The Craft House at Corque, located in a separate building next door to the hotel (when we visited, the restaurant was called Root 246). Here, you can get good happy hour deals on cocktails, pub-style food, and glasses of house wine without having to go too far from the hotel!
You can also take advantage of the free shuttle offered by the hotel to the Chumash Casino where you can dine at The Willows steakhouse.
Solvang is such a compact little place, you can really walk to any restaurant in town. Check out Mad & Vin, Copenhagen Sausage Garden, and Brekkies while you’re there too!
Final Thoughts
Next time we are in Solvang, there is no question we would choose to stay at Hotel Corque again!
